Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts
My uncle named me executor of his estate. He owned an automobile and a mobile home, in which he lived, with a mortgage lien against it. The value of his estate is insufficient to retire the mortgage. Will I be liable for any debts if the estate cannt pay its debts?

You are not personally responsible for your uncle's debts unless you signed a note or a guaranty.

I agree. An executor is not personally responsible. If the estate has no value, pronating is a waste of money.
