Re: will

As an heir, you should have received copies of all documents filed in the Probate Court. Go to the Court and review all that is filed on the docket and if you still have questions contact a lawyer.

Re: will

As an heir you are entitled to an accounting and copy of all the documents filed in the probate court. Go to the probate court and review the file and make copies. If you are a beneficiary of a specific bequest, e.g. you get $10,000.00, then you are to be paid before the person named in the residuary bequest which generally reads "all the rest of my estate I leave to ...."

If you have simply been given a smaller share of the residuary bequest then that is different. If you know what you are supposed to receive, you can send a certified return receipt letter to her asking for the status of your portion of the inheritance. You can also request a copy of all filings and all accounts filed with the court from her.

Review the filings and if you still have questions contact an attorney.
