Legal Question in Workers Comp in Massachusetts

compensation for continuing injury

I suffered a corneal abrasion 1/31/06, it never healed right, my Dr. now calls it a recurrent corneal erosion, it is very painful and there is only 2 options for me, continue to use the eye ointment, indefinitely, or undergo surgery, I want to know what I can receive for compensation for all my pain and suffering over the last 3 years and counting.

Re: compensation for continuing injury

This is posted under workers' compensation, but you description does not say that it is work related. If this injury occurred at work, you are entitled to up to 60% of your wages, and maybe some additional money for scarring. If this is a workers' comp. matter, you cannot recieve any money for pain and suffering.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to further discuss this matter.
