Legal Question in Workers Comp in Massachusetts
My husband was in a car accident while working (delivery driving) in his work vehicle last week. It was deemed the other drivers fault. My husbands injuries at this time seem minimal.
Yesterday we received a check for $400 from the other drivers insurance company with a settlement agreement that my husband will not sue further.
If he cashes this check and signs this document will he still be eligible to use workman's comp at a later date, if the injuries received result in difficulty working?

Do not have your husband sign anything at all without first having it reviewed by an attorney! This happens every day of the week and it is another case of an insurance company attempting to settle fast and take advantage of an unrepresented person. They win in this situation.
