Legal Question in Workers Comp in Massachusetts

have been on light duty for about 1 1/2 months now and have not recieved any payments. I work n a paper mill and hit a wall wth my fork truck injuring neck and back. I am not healing. Physical therapist stopped seeing me this week cause he said there is nothing else he can do. This after noon I was in a car accident that the officer stated i was not at fault in. I fear i have further injured my already exsisting work injury. How is this car accident going to affect my workers comp claim? Do i need to disclose that i was in an accident? I am scheduled to see the insurance companys doc next week. Do i need a lawyer?

This is a no-brainer. You need a lawyer. Why wouldn't you retain a lawyer? Do you think it will cost too much? If so you must not know it is illegal for a WC lawyer to charge you an attorney's fee unless the lawyer obtains a recovery for you, and then the atty fee is paid by the insurer. On the other hand, it is possible you might have messed your case up by handling it yourself without counsel that a lawyer might not want to accept your case. Good luck. Regards, JBS
