Legal Question in Consumer Law in Mexico

Hi, I have purchased a timeshare in Cancun, Mexico back in 1998. Ever since then I have been paying my maintenance fee. In 2002, I have changed my residence address to Hong Kong and have sent them a written confirmation. They we able to bill me untill 2004, however from 2004 to 2010, all mails were lost and the timeshare company did not contact me to follow up. Not until recently, I figure out they havent billed me and I called them and realized that the reason I havent received my bills is because their computer has been printing an extra line of garbage which causes the bills not to be able to sent through. Now, they are charging me interests and penalty which I feel unjust, as I am a consumer and how do I expect to pay without receiving the bill? Anyhow, I realize that on the timeshare contract, it states the contract is govern by Mexican law. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the unfair fines and interests?

Before anything else, thanks for writing me at LawGuru.com

If you have a copy of your contract, ys, you can. You must6 find in your contract terms and conditions about bills. Contract contains the rules, if not, you can decline the interests anyway.

To get some help about your problem, you can contact to Mexican Federal Attorney's Consumer and explain your case. www.profeco.gob.mx (available on english language).

Any doubt or another question, let me know it please.
