Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Mexico
International Consumer Contracts
Several years ago I made the mistake of buying membership in a Vacation Club. I bought in The Bahamas, the company is ownws by a Mexican Comglomerate.
The company hasn't even come close to living up to their end of the contract, and although I payed cash for the membership, I'm thinking of not paying the annual maintenance fee any longer.
My questions are, can that foreign owned company legally come after me through collections, and placing a bad mark on my credit. Also, that company has court decisions against them in at least 3-4 states concerning the same problem that I have with them.
What type of attorney could help me with this ?
Thank you.

Re: International Consumer Contracts
You would have legal standing for civil action against the company at issue, regardless if it is foreign owned. You may want to initiate the legal action at issue as well. Any negative marks on your credit reports can be lawfully removed if the debt cannot be properly validated, which would seem to be the case herein. If you would like aggressive representation in this matter, especially for the fact, contact our Law Office directly.
Re: International Consumer Contracts
You may want to consider consulting with a consumer law attorney. Even though you believe it is a wholly owned foreign company, many times these businesses have assets that are attachable in the U.S.
I would be willing to discuss some of the issues concerning your case to see how I may be of assistance.
I offer prospective clients an initial consultation of 30 minutes for free.
I look forward to speaking with you.

If the company is owned by a "Mexican Conglomerate" you should seek a solution with such a company without the expense of litigation. Details are required for further advise.
