Illness and Death

If we go on an extened stay to Mexico could you tell us what the procedure would be in the event of death? Is Creamation done and can the ashes be brought back? You can email the answer. Thank You

If you left extremely clear instructions with your personal representative regarding your wishes AND made sure that copies were provided to the US embassy/consulate in the place you are vacationing, it is entirely possible that people would know what you want in the event something happens to you while you are travelling.

As to your specific requests: Your last wishes are respected (in this country) so long as you have funds to cover the costs. I have no idea what the costs are, and whether they are higher or considered unusual in Mexico.

This question could well be posed to the State Department for their insight.
