Legal Question in Family Law in Mexico

Hi,

I received the response ''wrong State'', my question is for property in

Mexico. not in the United States. can you help. In Part A it asked where and

Mexico was one of the choices.

My parents own property in Mexico (Cd. Juarez, Chih.)

my mother past away 2 years ago, my dad is trying to sell

the property, but it was only under my mothers name.

The deed does say she was married and it has my dad's name.

Can he sell the property, what can he do?

Yes he can sell the property in M�xico. I don�t know the tax law in Chihuahua, but if it�s the same like in Baja California, it will be tax free. Now if sells it, then he will have to pay local, state and federal sell taxes. Your father can sell the property by showing proof of ID and your mother�s death certificate.
