Re: immigration hold
An immigration hold generally means that the Immigration Service is detaining someone due to an alleged violation of the Immigration Law, outstanding deportation order, etc.
The Immigration Service generally will only release information about such a matter to the detainee and his or her attorney.
It is usually best to retain an attorney where the detainee is located due to ease of communication with the client and the court.
