Legal Question in Immigration Law in Mexico

Came Legally, Overstayed, Married - Now What

My husband came here on a 1 yr visa when he was 10. Of course, he over stayed, is now 25. I am from the US. We have a child that is two. We just got married not long ago. What steps do we take to get him legal and legally workable? How much does it usually cost for the whole process?

Without knowing all the details of your situation, as a general rule, overstays can still adjust status to a permanent resident if they are married to a US Citizen.

Filings fees will probably be over $700 and I'm a bit out of touch as to what attorneys are charging. I've seen as low as $1,500.00 and as high as $4,000.00

If your husband came in with a valid visa and never left US since then, you can file for immigration petition for him. He can get the work permit in about 3 months.

Please send me an email for our fees.
