Legal Question in International Law in Mexico
Hurt in Mexico
My daughter, while vacationing in Mexico (Cancun) cut her toe open while swiming in a pool at her hotel. It turned out to be a tile in the pool installed incorectly or broken. I am looking for someone who could represent me in a suit for some kind of damages as this did ruin her vacation.

Re: Hurt in Mexico
It might not be worth your while to pursue the claim in Mexico. Personal injury litigation in Mexico usually lasts anywhere from a year to ten years. Chances are that even if you do win in court your recovery will not be enough to cover your injuries, attorney costs and other expenses you might have incurred.
If the hotel you were staying in is part of an international hotel chain I would look for a US personal injury attorney that litigates claims that happened in a 3rd country. If this is the case then your chances of recovering a decent amount of money to cover your injuries you sustained have increased 1000 fold.
