Legal Question in International Law in Mexico
Pueblo Bonito Cancels Contract
I purchased a timeshare at Pueblo
Bonito Sunset Resorts in Cabo San
Lucas Mexico. I fell behind in
payments but then made payments
to make the account current. My
payments were sent to a United
States Corporation, Concord Servicing
Corporation. They accepted the
payment. But, they have reported to
the credit bureau that the account is
charged off. When I contacted
Pueblo Bonito they said the contract
was cancelled and even if I made the
payments they will not honor my
contract because I signed a
statement saying that I will lose my
rights if I am late on payments. Will
I still be liable for the remaining
debt? Can I get this removed from
my credit report? Can I force them
to honor my contract?
