Legal Question in Personal Injury in Mexico

Fall in hotel-Puerta Penasco Mx in March-hospital

My sister took my husband and myself to a resort in Mexico. I had a severe fall due to poor actually no lighting. I fell and smashed my face on concrete. Ambulance brought me to hospital. Had about 30 stitches to face.Employees had to hold flash lights for EMT to see. Had to stay overnight in hospital there. Will need plastic surgery eventually. Hotel paid clinic fees and medication. Concussion,pain etc. Cut vacation short, returned to US, Az. Went to ER there. Doctor said broken nose,concussion and facial disfigurement. Need hotel who I believe is responsible to pay for bills and plastic surgery. I am from New York and was visiting Phoenix but had to go back to NY to see my doctor.

Was the hotel in Mexico? If so, I am not sure about the requirements to practice law in Mexico. You would have to file the suit in Mexico. On the merits, you seem to have a good case against the Hotel on a negligence theory. Hope this helps.
