Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Mexico
My wife and I bought a time share 6 years ago in Puerta Vallarta Mexico Last year we went back to where we bought and they sold off a 1/3 of the propoerty and filled in one of the main swimming pools. They closed restaurants. My question is since it is not we bought into and we stop paying the yearly maintenance fees can they legally come after us.

They most likely could; however, it must be worth it. The contract should have specific privisions in case you stop paying the maintenance fee. Reading them could help determine the most likely course of action and then make a balance about the opportunity of bringing the payment current and starting a procedure to rescind the contract.
