The System Failed my Husband

My husband was accused of 4 counts 1st deg. weap. Used-CSC 16 mos. ago. His charges carried 120 years. There has never been any evidence to substantiate any of the accusations. They never did a search for the alleged weapon, nor of our home for his clothing to test. Crime scene turned up nothing! They put him in jail for 179 days, released him on a 30,000 bond (10%). Then kept offering plea's of 5 yrs. & 6-10 year. He passed a lie detector test. His lawyer constantly hounded him for money. Not payments as said when retained. Lump sums. My husband couldnt afford a jury trial and couldnt fight his past that they could use in court. He felt his only option was to take a plea for his life a 6-10 vs. 80-120. The accuser never showed up to court for anything. Nor would she do a victim impact statement. My husb. had a nervous breakdown hours prior to sentencing and attempted suicide. Hosp. for 6 days. There is so much detail that I have no space for in this forum. I have all the statements, med records(which state No trauma no discharge.) I just need someone to listen to me. Is it to late to fire his Atty and hire new counsel? I am looking into Innocent Projects and the like as of now. I can explain in more detail over phone.
