Legal Question in Disability Law in Michigan

hi..

i am a us citizen born overseas.....i would like to change my name. i would like to change my first name (kamel) to a name that i desire..

i want to know if it would work,and what papers do i need and how long does it take to get my name changed. i also would like to know how much does this name change cost $$ if that is possible .

note: my name change will probably be submitted in michigan and thx :)
