Legal Question in Disability Law in Michigan

I was hospitalized for pneumonia and my employer is holding that against me. I work at Walmart. Even if you need a surgery that is held against you. I am a diabetic and have epilepsy, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, allergies, depression and panic attacks. How does one going about filing an ADA paper and how would that benefit me for my absences? I'm tired of going to work sick because of this policy and would like to know if I have any protection.
