Legal Question in Administrative Law in Michigan
For michigan what is the time or term when a spouse is required to pay alimony. And if the wife is working will he still be requied to pay. Is theire a standard amount calculated or is it based on the judge?

There is no set time when alimony may be an issue. The ten year mark is a good rule of thumb. If alimony is a factor in your divorce be very careful. Alimony can be modifiable and nonmodifiable. Triggering events may be negotiated to cut off alimony such as the spouse living with another person, going back to work, and others contigent events.
