Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Michigan
In Michigan My husband is serving a year in county jail after a probation violation. Probation only recommended 6 months and suspension of probation. We feel it was too harsh and would like to appeal the sentence we are past 42 days of the sentence. How successful would we be in appeal and how much does something like this cost?

Your question cannot be answered without knowing the judge, the county, and more circumstances. Probation is a recommendation and appeals from a judge's sentence on a probation violation are of leave and by the time it gets through the appellate process, it is quite possible that the sentence may have been served.
