Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Michigan

How to proceed once a Writ of Garnishment has been filed

Here's the scenario: I sued a guy in small claims court. The day of trial, we settled out of court for $700. Judgement was entered for $750 (settlement plus court costs). This was on 11/14/01. From that day on, I haven't heard from him. So, I went to the District courthouse in Roseville, MI (where this all took place), and filed a Request and Writ for Garnishment. That was on 1/16/02 (and the Garnishment is only valid until 4/16/02). I still have not heard from him, but the court officer said that the document was delivered directly to him at his place of employment (the only address that I have for him, and also the Garnishee). From this point on, I don't know what to do. The ''To the Plaintiff'' section on the Garnishee means garble to me, and the court can't offer any legal advice.

The periodic garnishment goes to his employer. Send the form along with a disclosure form (one of the pre-printed forms) along with a check for $6. The employer will then send in the disclosure and start sending money with each paycheck.
