I sewed a company the case was dismissed and they followed a motion for cost. Am I protected if I file chapter 7 bankruptcy?

Yes, filing bankruptcy will discharge that, but if that is your only debt that you are concerned about, you need to look at the whole picture and decide if the damage on your credit for the bankruptcy is worth it to avoid the costs. This depends largely on the cost of paying the costs. If you need to consult with a bankruptcy attorney, I'd be happy to meet with you to help you figure out if it is worthwhile to file.
