brankruptcy protection

I sewed a company the case was dismissed and they followed a motion for cost. Am I protected if I file chapter 7 bankruptcy?

Yes, filing bankruptcy will discharge that, but if that is your only debt that you are concerned about, you need to look at the whole picture and decide if the damage on your credit for the bankruptcy is worth it to avoid the costs.
