Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
credit cards in collections
I have three credit cards in collections totalling approx. 30,000 in debt. Is it too late to file for bankruptcy or should I try to work with the collection agencies?
Could I have them put a lien on my house rather than garnish my wages? Please help. Also, I live in Michigan, can you recommend a lawyer?

Re: credit cards in collections
You have several options. It is not too late to file for bankruptcy. I have negotiated debt for many clients and I have filed bankruptcy for many clients. It would be worth-while, I believe for us to sit down and review your financial situation in order to come up with the best outcome for you. Placing a lien on your home should not be an option. Please call me at 2486791552 to schedule an appointment either in person or by phone.
