Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
I have filed for a chapter 13 bankruptcy with an attorney. I first have to pay $975 up front to get it started. I have paid $600 so far. I am having trouble coming up with the rest of the money. Can I stop the bankruptcy and get my money back that I have already pain them. All they have done so far is copy papers that they need to process the banruptcy. Thank you in advance for your help. Linda

Sounds like they didn't start filing it yet. I only charge $310 to start, total, then obtain fees from the Trustee once it's filed, so my starting costs are lower. Call them for an immediate refund and should you need assistance, I can help.
