Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
In Michigan is a libel judgment considered an intentional tort, and thus not discharged by bankruptcy.

I don't believe that there's a set answer to that question.
Were the creditor to claim that the libel debt is non-dischargeable, a complaint would be filed under 11 USC 523(a)(6) claiming a "willful and malicious injury". It's not necessary for a plaintiff to prove that the defendant acted willfullly and maliciously in order to prove libel under Michigan law.
