ok my gilrfriend and her ex-boyfriend bought a house in 2004,they broke up and in 2005 he singed a quick claim on the house. but is still on the morgage,if he files bankruptcy what does that mean for the morgage and us?

The mortgage company will require the person filing bankruptcy to either "reaffirm" the mortgage note by signing a new note, or have your girlfriend refinance into her own name - it is up to the lender. You'd have to contact the lender to determine how they handle these situations. You also need to ensure that the Ex is not claiming any equity in the house and/or has no problem getting his name off the mortgage (sounds like he doesn't, since he already executed a quit claim deed).
