Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan

Questions about LLC Bankruptcy

Hello,

I have a company that is a registered LLC in the state of Michigan, and recently we have fallen on some hard times. I have some clients whom are threatening to sue my company of monetary and punitive damages, and I am seriously considering bankrupting my company. My questions in this matter are as follows:

1) My company is registered out of the home, with my home as the only listed address for the company, is there anyway they can try to come after my property of me personally for a debt that the company has made.

2) And finally if bankruptcy is a valid option, what chapter would be the best to file under and could you recommend an attorney in the Detroit Metro area who is good at corporation bankruptcys.

Your question doesn't really give enough background to enable an informed reply. I have represented several companies such as yours in bankrutpcy planning and bankruptcy, and I would be willing to discuss this with you in person.
