Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan

Am I still responsible

My ex-husband filed for bankruptcy after we were divorced. One of the vehicles was financed jointly. He filed on that vehicle also. Am I still responsible for paying for that vehicle?

Yes. But if the divorce decree makes him responsible for the debt, you may have rights under the decree against him.

Yes, with the unlikly exception that the divorce judgment requires your ex-husband to pay this debt as spousal support. Have a lawyer familiar with bankruptcy law review the judgment. Good luck.
