Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
We own a timeshare and now we are on ss only. we can no longer afford the fees. we have tried sto sell, but that is not happening. what will happen if we just don't pay the fees? will they foreclose?

Most likely, but you need to review the terms of your timeshare agreement. If you "own" the timeshare, then they can likely foreclose - it would be the same kind of situation wherein you owned a condo and didn't pay the association dues. If you are just part of a rental pool wherein you pay a certain amount to have access to the timeshare for X weeks per year, then you likely just forfeit your interest and all monies you have invested. Start by reviewing your contracts and agreements, and then you may want to contact a lawyer to advise you on your legal options. Bottom line: due to your limited income, you likely need to stop paying and let it go, regardless of any loss of investment.
