Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
Trustee recommendations
I am filing chapter 13 bankruptcy in Michigan. Our attorney has requested a repayment plan of 77%, but the trustee wants us to pay 100%. What exactly are my options? Can we deny his request and if we do so what happens next? We've asked our attorney these questions but, she is pretty useless so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Trustee recommendations
I would suggest you get a new attorney if your current one is not doing her job, because we cannot give you sufficient advice here without knowing all of the details of your case. A Chapter 13 repayment is based on your ability to pay, and therefore, it sounds like the Trustee has reason to believe that you can afford to pay back the entire debt.
If you need a referral to a new bankruptcy lawyer, please let me know. Thanks.
