Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
I've been unemployed for 10 months. I previously self filed for bankruptcy (individual) and I just received a letter that the trustee wants to deny my house, clothing, & car as an exemption. I have to respond to the court this week. I am a student and this is my only means of transportation. My husband works and will be responsible for the mortgage. I didn't have money for an attorney, but do you suggest I get one to go before the judge.

You need a lawyer - to fix whatever mistakes you made and attend court, file necessary paperwork. I don't do this type of 'subbing-in' work, but if you need someone, give me a call I can refer you to some people.
