Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
Utilities
When filing for bankruptcy in the state of Michigan, do I have to list (and give up) ''utilities'' like my cell phone (which is the only phone I have) and the internet (because I am completing my degree online)?
Thank you!

Re: Utilities
Yes, you will have to list them on your petition as the phone is an asset, and the bill is a liability/debt. However, you will not necessarily have to "give them up, especially since it's your only phone. In other words, don't worry about. Internet, cable, cell phone -those kind of expenses are standard now, and not usually viewed as "luxuries," depending on what other assets you have.
