Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
Just wondering why an attorney would want....
a warranty deed when going thru bankrupcy and what is a warranty deed? I was told to submit a warranty deed with my petition for BK.....I am just curious what IS A WARRANTY DEED AND why is it necessary?

Greetings; Usually a recorded copy of the deed to your home is required to prove that you own the home. Most trustees also require a copy of the recorded mortgage also to show that the creditor has perfected their interest. I always ask for auto titles also. I hope this answers your questions.
