Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
6 years ago I left my job due to having a sleeping disorder. After filing for disability and waiting a few years I found out that my former boss was still receiving checks in my name and cashing them for his own benefit.
Since that time I've lost my car & home and I'm currently homeless. I applied for SSI and the SSA told me to get documentation from my former company stating I didn't work there for the time they have me associated with that company. They refused, stating that they needed to see paperwork from the SSA.
I want to know how to go about suing my former boss for ID theft as well as the company for contributing to the pain and suffering I am currently going through (not to mention them being a tool in which my former boss used to conduct his theft).
