Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Business fraud?
My stepson & I purchased a small ice cream business that was strongly touted by the seller that it was a profitable, money making venture, showing us a table book (accounting book with lengthy columns of unreported income) plus z tapes. The business is not in any manner or form a profitable venture, we are in debt to 7 figures. Can I obtain a lawyer and sue for fraud?

Re: Business fraud?
If you can prove that the figures cited by the previous owner were demonstrably false and not the result of market downturns, competition, etc... then you certainly can maintain a lawsuit. Fraud is just one of several potential counts. You need a lawyer and a forensic accountant. Give us a call. 248.865.9640
