You should contact her and alert her that you are aware of her fraud, and give her an opportunity to fix the situation. You cannot charge someone's credit card without their permission. If the customer declines to make it right, you can always pursue criminal charges. Depending on the amount of money that is involved, I would presume that the customer would be embarrased enough to simply pay the difference instead of facing criminal charges.

Whether or not your employer can hold you responsible depends on the rules and policies at your place of employment, and whether your boss is evil enough to do that - or she may think you were in on it.

If you'd like me to send the customer a letter on my letterhead, to let her know you are serious about this, please let me know. This would be the best way to start, both for your own sake, and for the store's sake.
