Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Getting Downpayment Back
I just recently purchased a vehicle over the internet. I went to pick up the vehicle and when I got there I notice the car was not what the seller described. He said there were not any major mechanical problems. I found that the rear end was bad. Unsafe to drive home. He said he wouldn't give me my dowmpayment back. What should I do? Thank you for your time.

Re: Getting Downpayment Back
You'll have to sue him. Print off the original advertisement for the car and attach that to your document with pictures of the vehicle you bought.
That seems like an awfully big purchase to make sight unseen, and although the court will certanly look at it that way, you are not required to get stuck with something that was advertised falsely.
