Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Hello,
I used to work for my family in a Property Management company and although I created the slogan for the company. Because of personal differences and the difficulties working for family can bring, I decided to part ways with the company. They however have taken the slogan I created and built a marketing campaign and now use it on the front page of their website. I never signed a disclosure that would state that they own this slogan or that the ideas I had are the property of their company. Is their any legal discourse for asking them to remove the slogan or pay something for the right to use it?

Not unless you personally trademarked it. Otherwise, you got paid to create the slogan for the company and they own it. My 2 cents. kliszlaw.com Tim Klisz
