Imitation designer purses
Is it illegal to have home parties to sell imitation or inspired by designer purses?

So long as the designs are not stealing some one else's property rights, there is no problem. If the goods are legal, the home party is legal.
However, there may be a local ordinance about that sort of thing, so if it's going to be a regular gig, get specific legal advice.
