Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Investment Advise
I have recently purchased a business with a partner and my partner invested $90,000 which is from a loan which she is paying interest on. If we both invested the same amount of money, and because she is paying interest and I am not would this make her have more equity than me? I believe she is wrong and the only place this interest would come into affect would be in a situation of capital gains if a sale was to take place then she could take total investment and use it for a base of her total investment.

Re: Investment Advise
The equity remains the same. How she obtained her money is a personal matter as is the interest she is paying on it. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please email us.
