Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
I have a judgement against a mostly defunct LLC. This was a small claim involving less than $4000. Using LARA, I was able to determine that the LLC's license had expired 15 months prior to time I did work for them.
My questions are:
1) Would this strip them {the LLC} from their liability protection and consequently make the "Officer" responsible for the debt owed?
2) When moving to Discovery, would the other entities (Assumed Names under the same ID Number) be vulnerable to the judgement?

No. You would need to amend the complaint to add the individual. The judgment is only good against the company.
