Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
I had a LLC that went under and was eventually sold for $1.00. The LLC had a gas bill in its name and the bill was not paid. NOW the gas company has attached the unpaid LLC bill to my personal gas bill. Can they do this?

Probably not, unless you had provided guarantee. What does the sale agreement state in terms of pending bills like utility expenses?
As a Franchise Attorney I can only add the following. The utility did it, so now you have to deal with this. Did you sign a personal guaranty? Often utilities, landlords, etc. require these from small, under capitalized LLC's, etc. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
