I have a part time employee that I was serviced with a writ for garnishment for this employee. I never have received anything like this. do I have to fill out anything and send the copies to the court, garnishee and defendant. This employee only works a couple of times every couple of months or as we need him. What do I do.

You as an employer should be very careful in dealing with this. If you screw up, the judgment can be directly on you! You must follow the instructions that came with the forms to a "T." If you need an attorney to handle your employment law and other matters, contact me at www.kliszlaw.com. I have over 13 years helping small businesses like yours. Tim Klisz
