Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Personal liability
Are my husband and I personally responsible for business purchases on a business credit card? Our business has gone under and isn't worth anything. The credit card companies are coming after us personally. Can they do this? We have a C-corporation, and we thought that provided us protection.

Re: Personal liability
You could be personally liable. You need to see the application you signed for the card. Most credit card applications to companies attempt to get personal liability on the cardholders. In summary, have the credit card company who is trying to collect send you a copy of the credit card application. At that point in time you will be able to develope a strategy to resolved the situation.
