Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
I had recently lost my father and kept his practice alive by getting an already established non profit reincorporated with new name and board members. This was a big mistake as a result of my obvious distress from losing my father. I would like to make it a for profit without any distruption to the contracts currently held with insurances. Thank you for any help

As a franchise attorney I can only tell you this. You need to consult with an attorney who specializes in non profit entities to see what converting a non profit to a for profit entity entails. This is not a simple bulletin-board type question. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
