Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
I recently worked for a company called Caraco Pharmaceutical LTD for almost 2 years, we as employees were laid off in July of 2009. Now we have all received terminations letters in the mail, but it states in the employee handbook that if we were wrongly terminated we are entitled to a survience pay, now SEIU which is the union states that its not in the employee handbook. I am looking to get a claim release form that is in the handbook and the will not release any forms to their employees. I need help, please tell me what to do.

Any attorney will tell you the best resource when it comes to employment matters is your state's employment or labor department. Get in touch and let them know what's happening. They will look into any wrong doing and see that your rights are not violated. You can also consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.
