Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Sale of company contract
I sold a company, got a down payment, then a 2 year buyout, I had to sign a non compete. they only made 1 payment and have not paid in over 10 months. Does the non compete still stand and can I take my clients back? they are still running the company, just not paying for it.

Re: Sale of company contract
I would not take this action without a Court approving same as part of a lawsuit against the buyers for breach of contract. Otherwise, you are not being paid and can face a violation of the non-compete. This is a tricky area and I can help you. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
