Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
I am starting a job, they want me to sign a contract that stats( the employee hereby agrees not to directly or indirectly compete with the business of the company and its successors and assigns during the period of employment and for a period of three years following termination of employment and not with standing the cause or reason for termination) is this leagal for them to make me sign this when I already have the job?

Yes it is legal and you can be terminated for not signing it. You have to examine your reasons for taking the job vs. the noncompete and decide if it worth it. Tim Klisz kliszlaw.com
