Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
Am I able to do anything about a straw purchase involving a motorcycle? My Aunt was supposed to be the cosigner, we signed the same papers, but when the bill arrived it was only in her name. This was at the end of August with the first bill arriving in September. On top of this, the indicated payments were far off from the agreed monthly payments and the "loan" ended up being a credit line. We were told things completely to the contrary. In a tragic event my Aunt recently passed away and now this motorcycle is the only thing I have left to remember her by. I'd do anything to keep it but after calling the dealership they demanded I return the motorcycle to them so the bank could repossess it. I have documentation showing that the monthly payment amount was wrong and that this is a straw purchase. What can I do, if anything, to keep the motorcycle?

Pay the dealership their money. On a monthly basis as you contracted for. They cannot repossess if the bills are being paid.
